So best advice I can give is to ignore what the indicator is telling you and listen to what your common sense is telling you that your lure is doing. However, being a lifelong angler means I fully understand what my lure is doing at all times and depths ( regardless of type ), whereas non anglers who just play the game for fun may depend on that indicator. I simply ignore the indicator and continued fishing as normal, with no change to my catch rates. Spoons also appear to stay midwater and then suddenly dive to the deck halfway through a retrieve. Crankbaits in particular seem to behave very strangely on the indicator with anything over a 6 foot crank apparently diving to the deck and staying there. Hey fella, what I find personally is that the lure indicator doesn't reflect what the lure is actually doing, especially on deeper venues like Alberta and Mich. I broke down and got the Sport Heavy Casting package but it only casts 100 feet. Developed by avid fishing enthusiasts to bring you the full thrill of actual angling on your PC.
